walk-thrOUGH of Dhyana App

Problem Covid-19 and the pandemic has amplified mental health issues for several reasons. Anxiety and depression is estimated to have quadrupled since before pandemic.
- Staying stuck in same environment leads to feeling of isolation, loneliness, entrapment, lack of real social connection
- School closures have limited access to counseling services
- Children also affected by parents’ stress, plus lack of social and school activities
- Financial instability, unemployment, lay-offs, also lead to stress
Goal to improve mental health by facilitating mindfulness and reflection, and connecting people to therapy when extra attention is needed
PROPOSED Solution a mindful guided meditation and journaling app that allows users to easily check in with mental health, reflect, and seek additional help if needed
